Frequently Asked Questions
1. Lifejackets. In accordance with British Rowing guidelines,
coxes should wear lifejackets at all times. Please bring your own lifejacket as they will
not be provided by the organisers.

hotel and/or lunch stops. In order to minimise plastic waste,
we will not be providing water other than at lunch stops where we
know there is no supply.
3. Tools. Please bring a 10mm spanner for rigging the
boats on Friday morning and on Sunday. If you boat has
backstays, you should also bring a 13mm spaner to check the topnuts.

stops.
5. Boats. The boats used on the tour are stable coxed
quad touring boats (also known as "Explore" boats). They have

you will need to wear trainers in the boat. There is room in the boats for everyone to have a
small dry bag and water bottle.
6. Coxing. The cox's seat is wide enough for everyone
to sit in, and everyone is expected to take a turn at coxing.
7. Gala dinner dress code. Smart casual - blazer and club tie
(gents) if you have one, cocktail dress for ladies, but don't go
overboard!
